"Khotyn fortress" construction game set

A well-known children's publishing house asked us to develop and manufacture a series of 3D construction sets "Ukrainian Castles". The first one in line is the X-XVII century Khotyn fortress. Staying true to our traditions, we tried to develop a model which shall meet several criteria: The castle was supposed to be as much similar to the original as possible. The model should be firm. The vast majority of architectural 3D models available on the market are of "assemble, put away, don't touch" design. Once assembled, the castle was supposed to be an entertaining game set; while playing, a child should not only be playing with the "toy soldiers", but also studying the history of the country.

We believe that we met the challenge.

The game set includes fortress with five towers and outbuildings. One tower is open in order to make it more interesting to play with. There is a Turkish merchant ship sailing on the Dniester. The fortress military post is represented by five Cossacks of the XVII century, headed by the colonel. Children aged 5 to 7 shall assemble the model with the help of parents, children aged 7 to 10 years can do it using the instructions.

The castle can be assembled on the box in which it was packed. The overall dimensions are 370×285×230 mm. Walls, the second level of the fortress and supporting structures are made of book board with a thickness of 1 mm with full color printing. Towers, buildings and soldiers are made of board with a density of 305 g/m. We use only environmentally friendly chemical board and chipboard. Ultimately we do not use foam board.

Our models are durable and firm. The model can be assembled without glue or scissors.
